MTES provides a full range of business and management assistance to give your company the edge in competing in today's markets. These encompass such things as broad business assessments and strategic planning facilitation down to specific and narrow topics like improving inventory or accounts receivable turns and developing shop rates. A partial list of assistance areas is given below.

Business Planning

The Small Business Administration has since its inception, said that the two primary reasons for business failure are lack of planning and under-capitalization. While MTES cannot provide funds for your company, it can and has provided invaluable assistance in developing strategic, operational (tactical), marketing and business plans. This service engages the management team in a series of facilitated, in-house sessions leading to the development of the desired outcome and the ability of the management team to continue the process in the future without outside assistance.

Business Assessment

Do you ever wonder how your business compares with others in your industry or of the same size and maturity? Would you like to know what your employees believe are wasteful or non-value added activities or policies that inhibit their performance? Would you like some recommendations to improve the overall company or individual departmental performance? These and other key ingredients are included in an assessment of your company and you will receive a confidential report outlining the findings and recommendations for improvement. Conducted on-site, these assessments are normally free for small to medium sized companies.

New Product Development Assistance

MTES won't design your product, but will assist you in the product development process. Learn how your company's process can include concurrent engineering, design for manufacture/assembly, design to cost and rapid prototyping. Should you need expert opinions or laboratory testing of preliminary designs, we can put you in touch with faculty at state universities and scientists at federal laboratories.

Process Analysis and Design

Whether you are interested in Business Process Re-Engineering for your entire organization, alignment of system implementation goals with overall business objectives or simply want to improve your order entry process, we help our clients with the full spectrum of process analysis and change management.

Cost and Financial Management

Is your financial system giving you the information you need to manage your business (managerial accounting) or does it simply fulfill the needs of your banker and the IRS (financial and tax accounting)? Do you know what your true product or job costs are? Are you interested in reducing your working capital requirements? Do you need to develop a budgeting process? Quality and Productivity Enhancements

Total Quality Management implementation assistance is available along with the training on several of its principles and techniques (customer focus, total employee involvement, continuous improvement, mistake proofing, measurement and charting, calculating the "cost of quality", management by data, root cause analysis, waste identification and elimination).

Throughput improvement, cycle time reduction, preventive and predictive maintenance implementation, work flow analysis and improvement and increases in inventory accuracy are examples of productivity enhancements that MTES can assist you in achieving.
